S.T.A.R. Mentoring

"DAUGHTERS WITH A PURPOSE"

The purpose of the Standing Tall and Righteous (S.T.A.R.) Ministry of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church is two-fold:

1. To challenge young girls to grow and develop in their Christian walk, in relationships with the church and community.

2. To create a right of passage as they become young ladies.

Objectives:

1. To help young people become Christ-like in their Christian journey and to become Christ-centered disciples;

2. To assist them in their developmental stage as young ladies;

3. To be a support to them in their personal as well as professional walk in their life;

4. To be a support to the parent;

5. To create queen-like qualities within our young ladies.

Teach, learn, inspire, earn the trust of a young person.

For they are glimpse into our future world.

Show them that there is nothing new under the sun.

The hardships they struggle with may have only just begun.

But with the love and trust of Jesus, There will always be a better day.

As a Mentor, we can be that shining STAR helping to guide them along the way.

Build them up one day at a time.

Become a mentor if you feel it is your call.

The gift of time, patience and love are the greatest gifts of all.
